On 1st January 2004, Forth Churches Group officially came into being... we are still very much in the early stages of our collaborative ministry. There are encouraging beginnings...
- Prior to 1/1/04, we enjoyed fellowship and shared evening worship during Advent.
- Alasdair Campbell has been appointed as Parish Assistant to work primarily with Donald in Dalgety, but the job description agreed with National Mission puts his work clearly in the context of Parish Grouping.
- Alasdair has been working on the collaborative arrangements for fortnightly worship at Henderson House. This had previously been a shared activity (Dalgety and Aberdour) but is now very much a FCG event.
- www.forthchurchesgroup.org.uk is up and running - and hopefully being mentioned in congregational publicity, newsletters and so on...
- Small Youth Groups/ Bible Classes have mentioned the possibility of a Monthly FCG event.
- Joint Kirk Sessions meeting took place on 11 February 2004.
- May/June - "Snapshots" - Christianity in Art Series
- June 2004: Regular Pulpit Swaps, Shared Evening Worship, in place
- June 2004:First FCG Newsletter.
- August 24th - Ministry Team met with Alan Webster, Area Team Ministries Consultant.
- November 3rd - Ordination and Induction of Rev Peter Gerbrandy-Baird
- Christmas Newsletter distributed to all homes in area - about 11,000
- January 13th - Induction of Rev Chris Park. Full Team now!
- October 2006 - Rev George Nicol moved to Falkland and Freuchie
- November 5th 06 - St John's and St Peter's united to form Inverkeithing Parish Church.
- Nov 06 - preparation for Christmas Poster Campaign
